First, I would like to apologize for not posting in a while. My goal to post every day has proved difficult! I have a TON of projects going on right now. Mostly graphic design though, which is quite alright. I am really enjoying the work.
On Saturday I was able to do a wedding portrait shoot. I was super nervous and I am not entirely sure why. I think it is just the desire to make sure I give the clients some amazing shots. I always have to pep talk myself. It usually goes something like this: “I am a good photographer. You know what you are doing. You have your degree in photography that you worked hard for. People wouldn’t refer or ask to hire you if you weren’t good. I will buy you an ice cream cone after this.” That ice cream cone usually works. Or in this particular case, Thai Food. Oh, if you are ever in Bellevue, Washington area you must check out the Thai Ginger restaurant. Oh so yummy!
I actually had my friend come and be my assistant. She was great. I loved to be able to shout “50mm 1/13 400” and she knew exactly what I was thinking or envisioning and give me a nay or a yay! I usually got a yay. It was a great photo-shoot and I am very pleased with the results. Of course afterwards I thought of a million more I could’ve done. Perhaps next time. I enjoy doing the weddings but they are a lot of work. In this case I only did a portrait session and that was rather fun to do. Below is a shot I took of the beautiful couple and some other nature shots I took. I coudln’t resist!
