It seems like when Christmas comes everything just seems to be put off. I did some photography work before it came but in the last few weeks I have been neglecting even picking up my camera. Which is a shame because this is the time of the year when some beautiful things really come out. Even the dreary weather can be quite amazing. Then you have the festivities with family. Which, I was asked if I brought my camera to Christmas dinner, and I hesitantly said “no.” Apparently, there was a really cool looking fruit salad that was made. I am not kicking myself for not having it. My uncle had a good camera and probably enjoyed taking the shot. Sometimes I wish that I would be more inclined to always having my camera but carrying around a heavy piece of machinery is tiring. Perhaps investing in a smaller DSLR should be in order.
Currently, I am living back in my hometown. It is a very small town on the coast of Washington. It is slow moving and full of old buildings, farms and cows. Perhaps on the next not-so-dizzly-non-busy-day I will go out and photograph the town. It is a beautiful place. I am not sure how long I will reside here again, but while I am here I will be marketing myself and putting myself out there for work.
I have missed this place and I do enjoy the small town feel.
Here is an Instagram photograph I took of the snow falling a week ago. So pretty!
