I made an investment and I have purchased a Canon Mark II 5D with a 24-105mm lens. I have also invested in some Paul C. Buff AlienBees strobes, with an umbrella and a reflector.

Now, some would see that and believe that I was able to just pay for this like I am made of money. However, that is not the case. I took a leap of faith in purchasing some professional level equipment and used what very little money I have.

I feel like that this makes me real. That I am not starting to head into the profession. I no longer feel like an enthusiast or that photography is just a hobby. If I didn’t think that I could set my career and my lively hood on photography I would not have made this jump.Having this equipment also allows for more control over my images.

There are so many projects coming up. I have school projects as I am finishing my senior year but I also have a film noir project and come September, my fellow friend and soon to be alum, we are heading to the Central Cascades for two weeks for a photography excursion. Our trip is titled “Two Women, One Mission.” I am also privileged to start my internship again with photographer Linda Wolf. (Check out her some of her work at www.lindawolf.net also see http://vimeo.com/lindawolf)

I will keep updates about my work, post some images and also write more about my film noir project. Here is a link to Two Women, One Mission blog http://twomphotography.blogspot.com/ .
