I want to take a moment and talk about a photography project that will be happening come September. I have a friend, Heather Wallace, who is also a photographer and she is a nature photographer. She has always loved nature and reading National Geographic magazines. One days she was explaining to me that Washington State National Parks get overlooked in publications. After seeing the Central Cascades I like to think I caught a glimpse of the beauty that my friend sees.
I suggested we take a trip up there for fun. However, that idea exploded into Two Women One Mission. A mission to photograph and bring awareness of Washington State Parks, currently we are focusing on the Central Cascades. However, if that trip is successful we may go on to other parts of the Cascades and so forth. Maybe Two Women One Mission may turn into a whole series. One could hope. But for now, we are happy to get the support and get at least one section. We are going to have a gallery showing and produce a book in January 2013.
We currently have a Facebook page that you can like, Two Women One Mission. We will be having a site up here soon. There is also a site called www.kickstarter.com. During the Summer we will be creating a portfolio where you can donate to help our trip. It will be an all or nothing deal. If you donate to our cause certain amounts will get you certain gifts. Like, a print out or even your name in our book and at the gallery.
