I am pleased to announce that I have begun collaborating with a small company called SeaTread Studios making YouTube webisodes about social topics to bring awareness. It was started by Adam and Jennie Lennon.
I first met them as a possible guest on their new show, now called A Life and A Story. They were just starting out and everyone knows my love for helping out small up and coming businesses, so I agreed. After watching their first episode I loved the content but I got to worry about the quality of the video. As I didn’t know much of their technical background I politely mentioned that if they didn’t have good lighting I was more than happy to let them borrow mine. The next day, Adam, contacted me and asked me if I knew anyone that did video production. And I happily replied, “um, I can. What do you need?” Once upon a time I wanted to get into film-making, either documentary or independent films so of course I wanted to jump on this chance.
That is how I began this amazing collaboration with Adam and Jennie, two amazing individuals with a powerful story. They bring to the table what I didn’t have, honestly, you could not have planned a better pair up! They bring the ability to talk to people and create amazing dialogue and I bring the technical and business know how and we meld together our creativity.
Back in March I had a serious break down and then an awakening, you could call it, and I realized that I had to decide where to take my career. What did I want to do with my talents and art? I started to plan projects that I felt like would benefit and touch lives. I want to reach out and shake the world and start a discussion about issues like mental illness and other topics surrounding humanity. So I don’t find it at all ironic that when I sent my need out into the universe that my paths crossed with Adam and Jennie.
Already in the short few weeks some amazing things have happened and in a few episodes we have touched many lives and started conversations. Many more things are on the horizon for our team and I am looking forward to the many projects working with them and others.
